7-Day France Itinerary


Day 1: Arrival in Paris – Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and Champs-Élysées


  • Morning: Arrive in Paris and check into your hotel. Begin your exploration with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower. You can either take the elevator or climb the stairs to enjoy stunning views of the city.


  • Afternoon: Walk over to the Arc de Triomphe and climb to the top for another panoramic view, including the famous Champs-Élysées. Stroll down this grand avenue, stopping at cafes and boutiques.


  • Evening: Enjoy dinner in the Le Marais district, known for its charming streets, excellent dining options, and lively atmosphere.





Day 2: Explore Paris – Louvre, Montmartre, and Seine River Cruise


  • Morning: Start the day at the Louvre Museum, home to thousands of works of art, including Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. Book your tickets in advance to avoid long lines.


  • Afternoon: Head to Montmartre, the bohemian neighborhood famous for its artistic history. Visit the Sacré-Cœur Basilica for stunning views of the city and explore the charming streets of Place du Tertre, where artists sell their work.


  • Evening: End the day with a relaxing Seine River cruise, which offers spectacular views of Paris’s landmarks illuminated at night. Enjoy dinner at a riverside restaurant afterward.




Day 3: Day Trip to Versailles


  • Morning: Take a morning train to Versailles (about 40 minutes from Paris). Spend the day exploring the opulent Palace of Versailles, including the Hall of Mirrors, the Royal Apartments, and the beautifully landscaped Gardens of Versailles.


  • Afternoon: Stroll through the Trianon Palaces and the Marie Antoinette Estate, offering a glimpse into the life of French royalty.


  • Evening: Return to Paris and have dinner in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a historic area known for its cafes, galleries, and lively nightlife.




Day 4: Paris to Loire Valley – Châteaux and Wine Tasting


  • Morning: Take an early train or drive to the Loire Valley (about 2 hours from Paris). Visit Château de Chambord, a stunning Renaissance castle known for its grand architecture and beautiful grounds.


  • Afternoon: Explore Château de Chenonceau, one of the most picturesque châteaux, famous for its arched bridge over the River Cher. If time allows, visit Château d’Amboise, a royal residence where Leonardo da Vinci once lived.


  • Evening: Enjoy a wine tasting experience in one of the Loire Valley’s renowned vineyards, famous for its Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc. Spend the night in a charming hotel or guesthouse in the Loire Valley.



Day 5: Loire Valley to Mont Saint-Michel


  • Morning: Depart the Loire Valley and drive to Mont Saint-Michel (about 3 hours). Upon arrival, explore this incredible medieval abbey set on a tidal island. Walk through the narrow streets of the village and visit the abbey at the top, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding bay.


  • Afternoon: Take some time to explore the island and enjoy lunch at a local café. If the tide is out, you can even walk along the sandbanks around the island.


  • Evening: Stay overnight in a nearby town like Pontorson or in one of the charming hotels on Mont Saint-Michel itself.




Day 6: Mont Saint-Michel to Normandy – D-Day Beaches


  • Morning: Drive to the Normandy region (about 1.5 hours) to visit the historic D-Day Landing Beaches. Start with Omaha Beach, one of the most famous landing sites, and visit the Normandy American Cemetery to pay tribute to the soldiers who fought in World War II.


  • Afternoon: Visit the Caen Memorial Museum, which provides a deep insight into the events of World War II and the Battle of Normandy. Continue to Arromanches, where you can see remnants of the artificial harbor used during the landings.


  • Evening: Stay overnight in the Normandy region, enjoying dinner at a traditional French restaurant. Try local specialties like Camembert cheese and Calvados, a local apple brandy.



Day 7: Return to Paris – Montmartre or Free Time


  • Morning: Return to Paris (about 2.5 hours by car or train). Once back, take the day to explore any areas you may have missed. You could revisit Montmartre for more time exploring the charming artist’s district, or enjoy a relaxing visit to the Luxembourg Gardens.


  • Afternoon: Visit the Musée d'Orsay, which houses an impressive collection of Impressionist art, including works by Monet, Degas, and Van Gogh.


  • Evening: Enjoy your last night in Paris with a farewell dinner at a classic Parisian bistro or a riverside restaurant. Toast your week of adventures with a glass of Champagne or Bordeaux wine while admiring the beauty of the City of Lights.
